When uploading a photo, you will want to remove the background & crop the image so that only the person/pet appears in your design. You can do this using Canva Pro, or with a free background-removal tool such as remove.bg, Adobe Express or PhotoRoom.
On newer iPhones and iPads, you can also open the image in the Photos app, press and hold the person, and then copy or share the cut-out.
